Found something of mine on a hospital wall today!
A field visit, a corridor, and a drawing I had made. Now permanent on a hospital wall.

I Wasn't expecting this today.
Field visit to Chintamani District Hospital. Routine stuff, corridors, ward rounds, the usual. And then I just stopped.
There was a mural on the wall. Made from a sketch I had drawn.
I didn't know they had done this.
I stood there longer than I probably should have. Tried to remember when I made that drawing, what I was thinking. I had made those illustrations for the Karnataka region, partly for Noora Health's CCP work, but mostly because I was trying to work something out for myself. What does it mean to make a visual that actually belongs somewhere? That a community doesn't have to translate or decode, it just recognises.
I think I got my answer today. Just took a hospital wall and a field visit to deliver it.
Visuals made for a specific place, a specific people, they stick around. Long after you've moved on to the next thing.
